Thinking Ahead and Preparing for Future Work:
Using SWOT Analysis, think ahead and assess what your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats might be while working in your learning community. Use the chart for helpful prompts.

Is there a history of Learning Communities on your campus or even within your department?
OLN Learning Communities said that the realities of higher education that need attended to are:
- Fear of change, fear of taking risks.
- A traditionally competitive reward structure.
- Academia does not change quickly, so you must be able to show successes to get people to change.
- Tenure.
